"My Unique Dialect: Humourous & Shocking Reactions To My Speech Difference"
Tom’s "Unique Dialect" book continues the journey from his second book, My Distinctive Accent, which highlighted spontaneous interactions with intriguing people.
Having a speech difference as a result of cerebral palsy is like having a unique dialect. Tom speaks English like many others do; however, his words end up sounding very different. The people with whom he associates on a regular basis have little trouble understanding him. When people listen to Tom, they realize he has a good sense of humor. Family, friends, and others must take the time to listen to him.
People's rudeness and frivolous comments result in compelling storytelling that most of Tom's readers appreciates. However, there are also some lighter stories with humour in this collection.
These stories (themes) are in the third book by Tom Cribbin entitled "My Unique Dialect."
